Our story began in 2006 when a group of visionary Black women founded My Black Is Beautiful as a community-first platform. Our goal was to empower, celebrate, and inspire meaningful dialogue and change regarding bias and the ever-evolving concept of beauty, as well as its impact on culture. With over 2.5 million members, My Black Is Beautiful has become a catalyst for movements that bring about lasting and timely change. We advocate for the beauty of Black culture in all its forms. In 2019, we launched a hair care collection specifically developed by and for Black women. We understood the desires and needs of Black hair care and created products that addressed them.
